West Brom’s manager and one of their players have been nominated for awards.
West Brom pair Carlos Corberan and Mikey Johnston have been nominated for the monthly Championship awards for March.
Corberan is nominated for the Manager of the Month and in March, after his side picked up 11 points from a possible 15, finishing unbeaten.
Another rival of Corberan is Kieran McKenna, who in March, saw wins against Plymouth Argyle, Bristol City, Sheffield Wednesday and Blackburn Rovers. Their month did see them have one defeat however and that was to Cardiff City, with the Tractor Boys conceding two stoppage-time goals.
David Wagner is the fourth and final nominee. His Norwich City got 12 points in March and scored 12 goals in five matches. The Canaries moved into the play-off places as a result.
His rivals are Leif Davies from Ipswich Town who added three assists to his tally. He now has 15 assists for the season the most for a defender in a season.
Norwich City’s Gabriel Sara notched up three assists in March, in addition to three goals. It was a change in formation for the player used to playing a deeper role.
The fourth and final player nominated is Ellis Simms. He got five goals in four games in March including a hat-trick against Rotherham United.
No West Brom player or manager has won an individual award this season. Daniel Farke has won the award two times this term, joint with Leicester City boss Enzo Maresca. Gabriel Sara has already won the player award for August.
