Poveda never really settled down in Yorkshire after his move from Manchester City in 2020, being sent out on loan to Blackburn Rovers, Blackpool and Sheffield Wednesday.
The young winger, undoubtedly, possesses a lot of talent and could be a star in the Championship for any one of the aforementioned teams.
He did only make nine Championship starts for the Owls during his loan spell, having sustained an injury at the start of April, which saw him miss the rest of the season, but it was enough to impress Danny Rohl.
Poveda only recorded one assist during his loan stint, but his presence off the bench was crucial as Wednesday won a number of games to avoid going down to League One.
The German seems to have found something in Poveda that Daniel Farke could not seem to extract, and he wants Poveda back on a long-term contract, which would be advantageous for all sides.
Naturally, the Whites would have desired to benefit from the winger when he left Elland Road, but that amount most likely would not have mattered much given that he had worn out his contract after having little effect at the team.In unrelated Leeds United news, the San Francisco 49ers have repeatedly tormented the club due to a bargain they made with the devil.
