Karren Brady makes a renown massage to Liverpool comparison.

Karren Brady, the vice-chair of West Ham, has cautioned Liverpool about their choice of Jurgen Klopp’s replacement.

Brady’s remarks in her print column for The Sun [17 February, page 65] provide David Moyes with some insight into West Ham’s philosophy.

The Scotsman’s future is unclear because his contract at London Stadium expires in the summer and West Ham hasn’t been playing well lately.

While Klopp’s situation is unique in that he has chosen to step down, finding a manager to succeed the German will not be easy.

Liverpool is looking for a replacement for Jurgen Klopp.
It is really easy to find a manager. It’s hard to say exactly how effective he will be,” Brady wrote.

“Everything suggests that Xabi Alonso will replace Jurgen Klopp at Anfield, and he will be a perfect fit to do so given his resume of comparable accomplishments to the German coach.

Here’s a polite reminder that prior success does not always imply future success.

The hiring of Manuel Pellegrini, whose resume included time spent with Real Madrid and a Premier League title with Manchester City, seemed to have been a triumph for West Ham.

“It did not succeed; the collaboration lasted for eighteen months. Success or failure can occasionally be predicted by the compatibility, mutual respect, and trust that exist between the manager, the players, the supporters, and the board.

David Moyes’s future at West Ham is unclear.

Reading between the lines, Brady would want to have a reliable source that she is aware of exactly what she is getting.

The board and management at Moyes share a mutual regard for one another. But according to Brady, bringing in a more well-known player who has achieved success elsewhere does not ensure success at West Ham.

Of course, she’s not incorrect, and the Pellegrini example is especially relevant. But, the club shouldn’t let the disappointment of being burnt once deter them from considering managers who have achieved success elsewhere in favour of a reliable Eddie.

It’s difficult to say whether Moyes will continue. If he does leave, the team will need to pick a bold replacement who can lead West Ham to greater heights in the hiring process.

Although Pellegrini was a disaster, the man who takes Moyes’s place won’t necessarily be the same.
