West Ham fear injury ahead of crunch Nottingham Forest clash.

In front of their crucial matchup with Nottingham Forest on Saturday, West Ham United has received an injury boost.

This weekend, the Reds take on the Hammers at the City Ground in an attempt to win the Premier League for the first time since 2024. They are only two points above the relegation zone after losing their last four league games.

The last time out, Nuno Espirito Santo’s team lost to Newcastle United 3-2, which was frustrating. And they will be keen to recover from that encounter against a West Ham side fresh off an overwhelming 6-0 thrashing at the hands of Arsenal.

Lucas Paqueta, an attacker for the Hammers, has resumed training ahead of the match. He hasn’t played since his calf issue reappeared at the beginning of January.

“The rehab continues for our Brazilian magnifico,” the club wrote with a photo of the Brazilian on social media. It’s wonderful to witness Lucas walking on grass for the first time.

The Standard reports that Paqueta may play against Forest again. It is said that manager David Moyes is “likely to make a late call” following training today (Friday), although no decision has been made on his availability.

On Saturday, Forest will be missing several players as well. Ola Aina, Willy Boly, and Ibrahim Sangare, the winners of the Africa Cup of Nations, will not be participating, Nuno announced during his pre-match press conference on Thursday.

The three were scheduled to reunite with their teammates on Thursday; however, Nuno disqualified them from playing against Moyes’ club. Gonzalo Montiel, the defender, and Chris Wood, the striker, are still out due to hamstring injuries.
