A £19 million West Ham player now acknowledges that he wasn’t motivated last season because “I didn’t feel right.”

Tomas Soucek, a midfielder for West Ham United, has finally acknowledged that he didn’t quite feel comfortable playing for the team last season.

Speaking to The Athletic, Soucek stated that the last campaign didn’t have him feeling as motivated as normal.

However, the international for the Czech Republic acknowledged that he was now back to his best overall.

I’m glad to have scored once more, and I may have had four goals if Alisson, the Liverpool goalkeeper, hadn’t stopped my shot.

“I feel fantastic. Perhaps I didn’t feel right or driven last season, but this season I feel fantastic.

“We have a very strong squad, we’re in four competitions, and I just hope this season can be even better than last season.”

Naturally, Soucek did agree to a new contract in August that will keep him with the team through 2027.

And David Moyes’ team has benefited greatly from his return to form.

With Declan Rice gone, Moyes’ club needed to bolster quality and leadership, as well as discover some from within.

This year, Tomas Soucek is prepared to motivate West Ham to greater heights.

This season, Soucek is playing in a revamped West Ham midfield and he appears to be prospering in the new vibe.

Both James Ward-Prowse and Edson Alvarez have adapted to life under Moyes very quickly and successfully.

In addition, £19m In this new trio, Soucek appears to have more freedom to advance, which has increased his goal production.

Tomas Soucek has scored three goals in eight games for West Ham this season, as was indicated in the report.

The 28-year-old is playing in a more advanced role, but Moyes’ team’s defense is still solid.

Alvarez deserves praise, but so too does West Ham’s front line.

In addition to leading an aggressive attack press, Lucas Paqueta has made some unexpected tackles this season.
