David Moyes absolutely raves about one West Ham player after Bristol City defeat. view>

West Ham manager David Moyes was full of praise for one player in particular after our defeat to Bristol City in the FA Cup last night.

Following the FA Cup match at Ashton Gate between West Ham and Bristol City, David Moyes would have been furious with his players.

A mediocre Championship team defeated the Hammers both physically and mentally, as benchwarmers like Maxwel Cornet did not live up to expectations.
In a highly rare move, Moyes even informed media that he needed to bolster his team this month following the match.

The only thing that went right for me last night was that Moyes now knows for sure that he needs to bring in a few more players before the transfer market closes.

The performance of Callum Marshall, who entered the game as a second-half substitute and impressed Moyes as well, was another plus in my book.

And following his ten-minute cameo, the Scot decided to give Marshall, 19, props, according to WHUFC.com:

“I find Callum Marshall to be incredibly impressive. Our intention is to properly nourish and encourage him. He’s a fantastic young man who scores goals, and I really enjoy that he loves football because it shows that he wants the ball and to play the game. He is a decent boy.

Marshall is a true talent, and Moyes is right—I believe he has more to offer than Divin Mubama.

The 19-year-old has great technical ability and genuine pace. As evidenced by his record of 21 goals in 18 games for the under-21s (Transfermarkt), he is also a very excellent finisher.

When Marshall entered the game for West Ham against Bristol City in the FA Cup last night, he truly won me over. There is undoubtedly something unique about him.

And it’s obvious that David Moyes thinks highly of him as well. Over the coming years, it will be intriguing to see how he grows and develops as a player.
