We are pleased to welcome Dr. Rajpal Brar, an expert on injuries, as a new exclusive columnist. He will provide his opinions on West Ham’s injury status every week.
The injury specialist thinks that although causing some scares throughout the international break, his ailment was far less serious than initially thought.
There were reports that stated he’ll be out for six months but that’s not understood to be the case and he should be back sooner than expected.
Brar, a sports scientist and physical therapy specialist, exclusively spoke with West Ham Zone.
We’re talking about more than six months out, so the only plausible explanation for those stories to be accurate would be an anterior cruciate ligament damage.
That is obviously not the case, though.
Since neither the national team nor the club have released much information, it is difficult to speculate on what it might be.
However, he ought to be good for the upcoming games.
The 26-year-old has been in immaculate form for the Hammers this season as he had eight goals from 12 games ahead of the clash v Burnley.
He’s also given Gareth Southgate selection headaches and has made a case for being picked in every international squad.
It remains to be seen if he can become a regular for England ahead of the EUROs over the summer.
