Frustration for David Moyes with decision on cards now closer to sack

Board members at West Ham had been delaying the offer of a new deal to Moyes, whose current deal ends after this season, and recent weeks have been a display of why they had stalled.

David Moyes is on the verge of being fired by West Ham United. A decision is imminent.

Claret & Hugh claim that following West Ham’s defeat to Everton, David Moyes is now closer than he has been in a while to being fired from his position as manager.

On October 30, the West Ham news source said that Moyes is no longer deceiving people with his justifications when his team loses again, following a dismal loss to Everton at the London Stadium.

Although the Hammers’ early victories over Brighton, Chelsea, and Luton were noteworthy, they have already lost their last three games and are without a win in their past four. Moyes’ bubble is starting to burst, and nothing seems likely to change.

When his team is forced to play without the ball for the majority of the game and can hit on the counter, his tactical setup and style have shown to be effective. However, when the pressure is on them to produce, they appear to lack creativity and originality.

With players like Lucas Paqueta and Mohammed Kudus on the team, the manager must tap into their inventiveness rather than relying on them to launch counterattacks. Under Moyes, their skill and aptitude with the ball aren’t being exploited, which is a shame.

There are undoubtedly concerns about Moyes’s long-term future at West Ham, and it might be time for the team and the manager to call it quits. Perhaps he has carried them as far as they can go, and if they are to let him go, they need to find another path.
