Hammers pleased that peace reigned…..

Hammers fans have praised the club, police and local football authorities for a peaceful experience in Greece last Thursday evening

Of course, Olympiacos’ victory in the match may have contributed to that, but it was far from the problems that many had anticipated. Although West Ham supporters did receive a few laser pointers directed at them, that was the extent of the incident.

There was absolutely no trouble on the day, even though the visiting reporters received some abuse before to the game.

A massive poster reading “Tonight You Dine In Hell” welcomed West Ham ahead of their Europa League matchup with Olympiacos.

And according to NowNews West Ham – Six Foot Two (6foot2.co.uk), the notorious Gate 7 end began jeering and whistling the police as soon as they entered the arena. Ninety minutes prior to kickoff, the Wets Ham players were also subjected to similar behaviour during their pre-match pitch stroll. Highway to Hell and other heavy metal tunes pumped up the energy.

But despite everything, there was calm throughout the entire ninety minutes and no more bans are on the horizon for upcoming games!
