West Ham May replace Moyes with ultra attacking coach Dutch sensation

West Ham may reconsider a familiar name in their pursuit of a replacement for David Moyes at the end of the season. Numerous news outlets are reporting the Hammers interest in a man labelled ‘Europe’s most attacking coach’. Feyenoord’s Arne Slot was previously suggested as a potential successor when Moyes faced serious pressure as Hammers manager last season.

The Dutch manager has garnered a lot of accolades for being an extremely offensive coach and has been compared to Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola. He is credited with leading Feyenoord to the Eredivisie title last season.

Tottenham considered appointing Slot during the summer, but finally decided on Ange Postecoglou. It appears that rumours are now circulating around the Feyenoord manager’s potential move to The London Stadium. Slot has made it clear that after his time in Holland is up, he wants to manage in England.

Slot said recently in a statement, “My next move won’t be a Holland club. I’ve failed miserably if that’s what I’m supposed to do next. Travelling overseas will typically be the next step, and the Premier League is, in my opinion, the greatest league in the world.

Though Slot was seen as an aggressive coach back home, some see him as the most progressive Dutch coach since Johan Cruyff at Ajax in the 1980s. His probable hiring by West Ham might drastically alter David Moyes’ mentality and result in major changes to the team.
