West Ham stunned as Man Utd move to hijack deal for 116-goal

Sir Jim Ratcliffe is allegedly seriously exploring a bid to recruit Stuttgart striker Serhou Guirassy, and Manchester United now seem to be the favourites to sign the prolific forward.

The Red Devils held on to earn a 2-2 draw against Tottenham at Old Trafford before taking a little break in January. Even though Manchester United led twice during the match, Tottenham earned a valuable point and had the opportunity to take all three.

Rather than improving their standing in the Premier League, United will need to put in a lot of work in the second half of the season after the draw.

Prior to Sunday’s match, statistics revealed that United had missed the most significant opportunities and were the least effective finishers in the Premier League.

Only three teams in the entire Premier League—Crystal Palace, Sheffield United, and Burnley—have scored fewer goals than the team’s total of 24 for the season thus far. Despite their success on Sunday, Erik ten Hag’s team continues to be the lowest scorers in the top half of the table.

It is therefore understandable why Ten Hag is eager to add a new No 9 to his lineup in order to cover and challenge Rasmus Hojlund.

Even if the young Dane is beginning to reach his goals at last, he

Additionally, United is now looking at other options to bring in after ruling out a move for Timo Werner, who instead joined with Tottenham and made his Old Trafford debut on Sunday.

Man Utd prepared to take over Serhou Guirassy’s swoop
Football Insider currently claims that United are taking their attempts to beat West Ham to the acquisition of Guirassy seriously.

This season, the 27-year-old striker for Stuttgart in the Bundesliga has scored 19 goals in 16 games, demonstrating his incredible form.

That performance has, understandably, drawn attention from a number of parties, and given them a deal, some of them now find the player to be instantly more appealing.

The Hammers, who are anxious to get Guirassy, who has scored 116 goals in his career, are reportedly up against United and AC Milan in their pursuit of his services.

Due to injuries to Lucas Paqueta, Michail Antonio, and Jarrod Bowen in recent weeks, David Moyes’ choices for offensive players are severely limited, hence West Ham needs attacking reinforcements.

And although they had targeted Guirassy, a striker from Guinea, as a quick fix, it now appears they may lose out if the allegation is true and there are rumours Sir Jim Ratcliffe wants to sign the youngster as his first Manchester United signing.

Ten Hag, on the other hand, expressed his satisfaction with the draw with Tottenham and acknowledged the development of Marcus Rashford and Hojlund.

He said on BBC Match of the Day, “I am quite disappointed. It is a bit frustrating when you go ahead twice and then concede two soft goals, but you have to take it as it is.”

He went on, “They are growing together so keep going with the progress,” in reference to Hojlund and Rashford. I’m happy that he scored a very good goal as well.

United also has an eye on Karim Benzema
United is also heavily connected to a deal for Karim Benzema, whose future at Al-Ittihad suddenly looks uncertain, in addition to a move for Guirassy.

Since joining the Saudi team in the summer, the renowned former Real Madrid striker has scored 11 goals and provided five assists.

But things are not easy for the 36-year-old veteran, who recently skipped training and is now rumoured to be excluded from the team’s training camp in Dubai.

Marca now claims that United is investigating the potential of signing Benzema on a six-month contract.

Journalist Javier Parra Pena, Ten Hag has the money to bring in the seasoned striker after releasing players like Donny van de Beek and Jadon Sancho from their salary obligations.

Although it’s unclear if Al-Ittihad will let the striker to go, it’s rumoured that United is at least ready to pose the question.

Former United striker Louis Saha has also endorsed the possible transfer, saying that Benzema will “change United’s attack, and that’s exactly what they need.”

“He would improve team performance and score goals.” Even though it’s all just a dream right now, Karim is still highly polished.
