West Ham United will sign £200,000-a-week ‘extremely fast’ striker in January ,Fabrizio Romano says

David Moyes’s West Ham United want to sign former Chelsea forward Timo Werner.

That is according to TEAMtalk, which has noted the plan that West Ham have regarding Werner.

So, what has been reported about West Ham United and Timo Werner? Let’s take a look.

What’s the story?

Well, according to TEAMtalk, West Ham United are interested in signing Timo Werner from RB Leipzig in the January transfer window.

The report has claimed that West Ham will try to bring the former Chelsea striker to London Stadium on a loan deal.

Leipzig are open to letting the £200,000-a-week striker, who is “an extremely fast player” according to Fulham goalkeeper Bernd Leno, leave on loan.

TEAMtalk has added that West Ham are very keen on signing a new striker in the middle of the season due to injury issues.

West Ham United simply have to avoid signing Timo Werner

In my opinion, West Ham United should not try to sign Timo Werner from RB Leipzig in the January transfer window, even on a loan deal.

I do not think that Werner will be a good signing for the Hammers and will make them better in attack.

The Germany international forward had a torrid spell at Chelsea, and even a return to RB Leipzig has not seen him get to the level he was at before he made the move to the Blues.

Werner made 56 appearances in the Premier League during his time at Chelsea Chelsea. The German scored 10 goals and gave nine assists in those matches

The 27-year-old striker scored nine goals and gave three assists in 23 Bundesliga starts last season.

So far this season, Werner has scored two goals in two starts and six substitute appearances in the Bundesliga.

In my view, Werner will not be able to come to West Ham and mak an immediate impact at London Stadium.
