Montgomery, West Virginia (Nov. 1, 2023) – The 16-team, four-year schedule matrix for the 2024–2027 football seasons has been released by the Big 12 Conference. The scheduling approach was created with competitive balance, historical rivalries and matchups, and location as top priorities.
Commissioner Brett Yormark said, “We are excited to introduce the first football scheduling matrix for the new-look Big 12 as we look towards the future of this Conference.” “I appreciate all of the members’ help during the scheduling process. Student-athlete welfare and competitive balance were given top priority in this paradigm. For many years to come, this Conference will maintain its reputation for excitement and parity while safeguarding long-standing rivalries and introducing fresh matchups.
