A “tragic accident” at Westland’s peat facility in Dungannon, County Tyrone, has claimed a man’s life, according to BC.
According to the Health and Safety Executive, it is aware of the event and is investigating.
“We are extremely saddened by the loss of an employee following a tragic accident at our Dungannon site today,” stated Westland Horticulture. In the immediate aftermath, we will be providing support to the family and our colleagues.
“Westland is helping the HSENI with its enquiries and is looking into this event. Other than what has previously been reported, we don’t currently have any other information.
“We send the family our sincerest condolences during this terrible time.”
Additionally, the BBC reported According to First Minister Arlene Foster, the deceased man was a “real gentleman who loved his family immensely and was a wonderful friend” in Fermanagh and South Tyrone.
