Wests Tigers is delighted to announce the signing of off-contract Panthers’ winger, Sunia Turuva, on a three-year deal.
After the 2024 season, the 21-year-old, who won NRL Rookie of the Year the previous year, will join the Wests Tigers.
Along with him will be current Panthers teammate Jarome Luai, as well as fellow Fiji internationals Api Koroisau and Jahream Bula.
Turuva, who scored 12 tries in 26 games during the Panthers’ championship-winning season in 2023, lit up the NRL, and he carried over that form into 2024.
With his two touchdowns against the Wests Tigers in Bathurst last Sunday, he now has eight tries from seven games this season.
Benji Marshall, the coach of the Wests Tigers, is thrilled about what Sunia will bring to the team.
Marshall declared, “Sunia is a great signing for us as a club moving forward.”
“He is a true football player with exceptional versatility and a premiership winner.”
Every time he plays, he exudes enthusiasm and is electric on the pitch. Above all, he is a wonderful person with admirable principles.
“We look forward to welcoming Sunia and his family to the club.”
