NRL star insist despite $300,000 awarded new Deal….

The club verified this in a statement yesterday, Tuesday, January 23, and it is said that the winger will receive a $300,000 compensation from the team after being released.

The winger is still looking for a new team, though, and it was obvious that Super League teams would be interested in signing him when he was released. There are quota spaces available for teams like Salford Red Devils and Warrington Wolves.

Salford is in dire need of a winger after losing both Joe Burgess and Ken Sio. Nofoaluma is considering a move to the Super League and would be a perfect replacement.

In 2024, the winger might play for Salford or Warrington in the UK, or an NRL team might want to sign him. However, one club has ruled themselves out of the running despite needing to solve an injury concern and have room on their squad.

The St George Illawarra Dragons still have several slots on their roster after Corey Allan suffered a season-ending ACL injury, but they have no intention of adding David Nofoaluma, the winger who was just cut by the team.

David Nofoaluma, a member of the Tigers since 2013, has experienced a turbulent past two years with the team. He was ultimately let go by mutual consent on Tuesday.

He had the option to testify in front of a board on Wednesday night over the two most recent violations, but he opted to take a $300,000 payment for the final two years of his contract.

This late in the preseason has made the winger a free agent. According to Zero Tackle, it’s thought that he would investigate his possibilities in the English Super League as well as the NRL.
