Salford Red Devils confirm deal of NRL superstar.

Nofoaluma informed the Daily Telegraph of his plans to go to England, according to stories that came in from down under.

In a statement posted on their website after Paul Rowley’s news conference today, which before Salford’s Super League start on Friday night, the club confirmed the deal.

The Salford Red Devils released the following statement: “We are happy to announce David Nofoaluma’s one-year contract.

“The explosive winger joins the team following a successful stint in the NRL, where he made club history as the top try-scorer with 100 tries in 192 games for the West Tigers.

“With his arrival at Salford Stadium, he becomes our ninth player of the window, following Nene Macdonald, Cade Cust, Ethan Ryan, Joe Shorrocks, Chris Hankinson, Joe Mellor, Matty Foster, and Kai Morgan.

“The Samoan international will soon join the Red Devils after arriving from Australia, bringing a wealth of experience and skill to the backline.”

Following David’s signature’s confirmation, Head Coach Paul Rowley stated, “I’m happy to have David join the team as we continue to assemble our squad.”

“He fills in for a few spots left by Joe Burgess and Ken Sio, who were both excellent players for us.

“David has an outstanding resume, and once more, Krissy (Inu) has had a positive impact and earned the respect of players in the world of rugby.

“We now have the necessary competition in every position thanks to our excellent back line.

“The players, staff, and I are excited to have an outstanding player and person join us on our Super League journey.

“We have been searching all player opportunities for a while now, and when David became available, it was one that, as a club, we did not want to let pass us by,” said Ian Blease, Director of Rugby & Operations.

David is a true, proven NRL player who will undoubtedly improve our 2024 team by bringing his quickness, agility, and desire to score tries to the team.

“This addition will surely thrill our supporters, and he will be a threat against all teams, from anywhere on the pitch. Personally, I’m eager to see him sporting a Red Devils shirt!
