Wigan Athletic star determined leave

Luke Robinson believes his experience in Scotland will ‘definitely stand me in good stead’ as he returns to challenge for a first-team spot at Wigan Athletic.

The 22-year-old defender, who missed the entire season due to a knee injury sustained last month, is now officially back with Latics.

Having made 33 games with the Saints, he says he is “gutted” to not have been able to play for the team longer.
He remarked, “I would love nothing more than to help the lads in the games that remain on the pitch. I am devastated to miss the last few games this season.”
But that’s football, and I’ll be watching with complete faith that the squad can perform well towards the end of the campaign.

On New Year’s Day, Latics called up Robinson to provide cover. Later in January, he was permitted to go back to St Johnstone to finish his loan.

“I had a great time,” he declared. “I can honestly say that I’ve enjoyed being a part of Perth, even if there have undoubtedly been ups and downs during my time here.

“The club is unique overall, the boys are outstanding, and the supporters are fervent.” I made it a point to leave everything on the pitch every time I went out. I hope this was conveyed in my performances.

“One of the main reasons I’ve loved being at the club so much is the players. Everyone on the team is eager to support one another in any way they can, and they all play for the same team.
