Following a terrible collision in Wishaw on Sunday afternoon, September 29, a teenage motorcyclist has passed away.
At approximately 4:25 p.m., emergency personnel hurried to the A775 Edinburgh Road, close to the intersection with Biggar Road, but the 37-year-old male was tragically declared dead there.
It is known that a red Ford Focus automobile and his blue Yamaha YZF R1 motorcycle collided. The 59-year-old male driver of the vehicle escaped unharmed.
After the route was stopped to conduct accident investigation work, it reopened at approximately 11:25 p.m.
Police Scotland have asked anyone with knowledge to come forward and said that investigations are still ongoing.
Road Policing Sergeant Nick Twigg stated: “Our thoughts are with the man’s family and friends.”
“Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and anyone who can assist is asked to get in touch.
