Here’s how we predict Wolverhampton Wanderers to line up against Fulham in the Premier League.
Wolverhampton Wanderers are back in Premier League action following the international break as they take on Fulham away from home on Monday evening. Buoyant following a dramatic 2-1 comeback victory over Tottenham Hotspur last time out, Gary O’Neil’s men will be confident they can soar into the top 10 with another win.
Fulham, meanwhile, have struggled of late, losing three of their last four matches. Marco Silva’s side are down in 15th place and have one of the worst scoring records in the league as only Burnley have netted fewer. Their goal difference is also the fifth worst in the entire division.
Wolves will still have to field a strong team to get a positive result, however, as Craven Cottage is a tricky place to go – especially under the lights. With that in mind, we reckon O’Neil will stick with the 3-4-1-2 formation, taking out an out-of-sorts defender and making a call for game-winner Pablo Sarabia.
1. GK – Jose Sa
Without doubt the number one choice between the sticks, ahead of deputy Dan Bentley.
2. RWB – Matt Doherty
Bold choice, perhaps, but comes into the team after two successive poor games from Nelson Semedo. Doherty is yet to get back to his best but has shown signs of quality off the bench.
3. CB – Max Kilman
The new skipper has worked well on the right side of a back three when called upon and is able to venture out with driving runs.
