Monza and Genoa battle for Wolves striker’

Monza and Genoa are reportedly interested in Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Fabio Silva for the January transfer window.

The two northern Italian teams have set their sights on the Portugal Under-21 international, who has 10 goals in 19 youth caps for his country, according to Sky Sport Italia analyst Gianluca Di Marzio.

 

Freiburg are also interested in signing him on a six-month loan deal, so they are not alone.

Wolves paid €40 million to sign Fabio Silva from FC Porto in September 2020, however he has been loaned out to RSC.

PSV Eindhoven and Anderlecht.

With one goal in ten Premier League and EFL Cup games this season, Genoa or Monza are considering another loan in Serie A.

The Grifone are looking for fresh forwards after Mateo Retegui suffered another injury that forced him to miss Friday night’s game against Juventus.

Monza’s Gianluca Caprari suffered a major injury, and his substitute, Papu Gomez, was barred from competing due to a two-year doping sentence.
