Newcastle United and Wolves ‘eye’ £20m starlet – also wanted by Man Utd and Chelsea

Transfers to Newcastle United: The Premier League is reportedly paying close attention to one French defender.

Here, we compile the most recent transfer tidbits from St. James’ Park and other areas:

Ligue 1 starlet is “eyed” by Newcastle United
The most recent Premier League team to be reported to be interested in signing Le Havre defender Arouna Sangante is Newcastle United. Ten of Le Havre’s twelve Ligue 1 games this season have featured Sangante, who is rumoured to have drawn interest from Wolves, Fulham, Chelsea, both Manchester clubs, and Newcastle United in advance of the January transfer window.

Sangante, who is only 21 years old, was selected as Le Havre’s captain before the season began and has already made over 100 appearances for both the first and B teams in his brief career. According to Football Insider, the defender is valued at £20 million and has supporters in Germany and Italy.

Although Sangante’s club would hate to see him go in January, given his rising stock and the high demand for his services, they might have no choice but to sell if a reasonable offer comes in. As of right now, Le Havre is ranked seventh in Ligue 1.

Newcastle United’s transfer error should be reimbursed in light of the Premier League’s ruling.
The Premier League clubs decided not to put a temporary ban on clubs owned by the same people signing players on loan from one another.

Oumar Niasse, a former striker for Everton, has joined Macclesfield FC. After being released by Morecambe at the end of the previous season, Niasse began training with the team.

Former Newcastle United striker Papiss Cisse has been training with Niasse for the past few weeks. After leaving Ligue 2 team Amiens at the start of the summer, 38-year-old Cisse has been working out with the team to increase his level of fitness in preparation for a possible comeback to football.
