Here’s how we predict Wolverhampton Wanderers will line up against Sheffield United in the Premier League.
The Blades knew going into this game that they need to win at least half of their remaining games in order to have any realistic chance of staying up, having been hammered 5-0 by Brighton & Hove Albion the previous time out. The opening goal is probably going to be crucial because Chris Wilder’s team will be fighting hard from the beginning.
Wolves predicted lineup vs Sheffield United
As usual, Gary O’Neil is anticipated to select a very offensive starting lineup to provide Wolves with the best opportunity of winning. These 11 players are the ones we think will start.
Sa, who is without a doubt the starting goalie of choice, will be anxious to reduce the pace at which Wolves are now giving goals away.
Nelson Semedo, RWB
This season, Semedo has performed admirably on both ends of the pitch. Sometimes he is inconsistent, yet he has made progress.
The captain has been essential to Wanderers’ accomplishments this year. He has not only led from behind, but he has also played excellent defence.
Craig Dawson is CB.
Dawson has been a pillar of support for Wolves, aiding in their aerial dominance. Most weeks, his experience comes through.
Toti has performed admirably as a left-sided center-half, thus O’Neil still has no reason to bench him in favour of Santiago Bueno.
To trail Hugo Bueno and Matt Doherty in the rankings, the Algerian would need to commit a grave offence.
Lemina has already had eight yellow cards this season; he needs to ease down, but he has invigorated Wanderers’ midfield with his energy.
Joao Gomes, CM
The Brazilian stole the show at Tottenham, scoring both of Wolves’ goals to secure a three-point victory.
RW – Bellegarde Jean-Ricner
Though Sarabia’s benching in strong form may surprise some, this is a good chance to get Bellegarde some playing time.
Despite Neto’s recent use as a striker, Hwang’s return means the Portuguese will be spending more time out on the wings.
Hwang will be eager to play the entire 90 this weekend even if he didn’t play it all out last time. It would be wonderful to see him back on the scoresheet to boost his confidence.
