Transfer Battle: Wolverhampton may overpower Nottingham Forest PSG star’

This week marks the closing of the January transfer window, and all eyes are on Hugo Ekitike to see if he departs Paris Saint-Germain. The young Frenchman didn’t exit last summer window and hasn’t played so far this 2023-24 season.

To get his career on track, Ekitike must depart the French capital. Despite not playing, there’s interest in the former Stade de Reims goal-scorer. Le10Sport reports a three-club battle is occurring behind the scenes for Ekitike.

According to the French outlet, PSG is speeding up discussions with Frankfurt, which has been present for several weeks. However, Premier League clubs are also interested in Ekitike.

Wolverhampton Wanderers are making a concerted effort to persuade the promising young striker from PSG to join their ranks. The upcoming hours will be crucial, particularly with another English club eyeing a potential move.

Nottingham Forest is putting significant pressure to secure the signing of Ekitike. PSG is once again in talks regarding either a loan with an option to buy or a direct transfer, as they are eager to part ways with the player.
