Despite parting ways with a number of players – the majority on loan – during January, Wolves have been unable to add to their senior ranks.
Head coach Gary O’Neil has been open about the club’s pursuit of a new striker, yet acknowledged last week that the West Midlands outfit were unable to afford their preferred targets.
Whether Wolves acquire a senior forward before Thursday’s 11pm deadline remains to be seen, with Chelsea forward Armando Broja continuing to be linked with a switch to Molineux.
However, according to David Ornstein of The Athletic, Wolves are most likely to get a deal over the line for Lemina, the younger brother of midfielder Mario
In 13 months at Wolves, Mario has established himself as one of the club’s key men, contributing four goals and one assist from his 39 appearances in all competitions.
With less than 18 months left on his contract, Wolves will soon have to try to negotiate fresh terms with the 30-year-old, but they will be confident of eventually agreeing an extension if they sign his sibling.
Wolves are said to successfully agreed a loan deal with their PSG counterparts which would come with a €2m option to buy in the summer.
Although the report adds that personal terms are yet to be agreed with the player and agent, the indication is that the 18-year-old will soon be confirmed as a Wolves player.
The 17-year-old, who has seven caps for the France Under-17 team, can play a variety of creative midfield positions, which Wolves are currently deficient in.
Lemina’s loan with Sampdoria earlier in the season was terminated after he only played 15 minutes in one Serie B game, therefore he lacks first-team experience.
Lemina has, however, been a mainstay in the PSG development ranks, with 12 goals and five assists in 36 appearances for the Under-19s in addition to four goals in seven UEFA development League games.
If Noha successfully joins Wolves, it is anticipated that he will begin his career in England in the youth system, where he will have the chance to into the first team later in the season.
