Wolves and Fulham ‘return’ as Chelsea in surprise Deadline Day ‘change of heart#

The most recent Premier League transfer news on Deadline Day, as Chelsea’s decision to change their mind benefits Wolves and Fulham.

Chelsea is anticipated to hear from Wolverhampton Wanderers once more on Deadline. A day later, it was revealed that the Blues had a last-minute change of heart regarding Armando Broja, their striker.

The Albanian international has not been signed by Wolves or Fulham in recent days, as Chelsea would not allow him to leave without the guarantee of a £35 million purchase obligation. Chelsea wasn’t satisfied with Wanderers’ offer, which came the closest at £25 million at the end of a six-month loan.

But now that Mauricio Pochettino’s team has reversed course, a very late move might be imminent. Chelsea reportedly wants to “let Broja leave on a straight loan, provided it comes with a significant fee and game time commitments,” according to The Athletic.

Both Wolves and Fulham, who are eager to sign a new striker before tonight’s 11 p.m. deadline, will benefit greatly from this. With just two goals and one assist this season after returning from injury, Broja is probably going to be a top target as time runs out.

Meanwhile, according to Fabrizio Romano, Fulham has made another formal proposal: a loan with a buyout option. Conversely, Wolves have “returned overnight” following the rejection of their initial bid.

As new information on the Broja tale and other topics emerges, we’ll provide it here.
