João Gomes, a player for Wolverhampton Wanderers, may soon hear some wonderful news from Brazil.
This is so that Dorival Junior, the new manager of the national team, could select him for his first-ever games in charge after watching him play recently.
The coach was present when Gomes scored a brace in the Molineux team’s 2-1 victory over Tottenham Hotspur, according to a story published in today’s Correio newspaper.
Aside from that, it is reported that Dorival Junior “met” players from Wolves among other teams. Hence, only he and Matheus Cunha could be involved.
It wouldn’t be shocking if Gomes receives his first opportunity to play for the national squad because he has shown significant progress since joining Wolves last year. particularly considering that he proved to be a starter for the Wolves this year.
His market value was €15 million on Transfermarket when he joined with Wolves, and it is currently €22 million. It could be verified next week that a call-up from the national team would only benefit the club and the player.
