Wolverhampton Wanderers could be set for a nice financial boost with Rúben Vinagre set to leave Sporting Club de Portugal and join Hellas Verona.
Record cover the player today and explain he’s now set for the latest in a series of loan moves, with a deal in place for him to join the Italian side until the end of the season.
Indeed, he is expected to be presented by them in the next few hours, with a deal agreed for him to join on loan initially until the end of the season with the Italians having the option to make it permanent for €4m.
In addition, Sporting would be entitled to a 10% share in any future transfer for the midfielder, who has struggled to find a place to call home after his loans at Everton and Hull City ended in failure.
After struggling to make a name for himself in Portugal, he came to Sporting in 2022 after leaving Wolves, where he had previously played. Now, they are sending him out once more in the hopes of securing a permanent departure.
Wolves will be monitoring that, though, since they retained a 50% sell-on clause when they sold him to the Portuguese team eighteen months ago.
Therefore, if he impresses Hellas Verona and they go for it, they could be in queue to receive €2 million.
