Wolves ‘get into fight’ with Newcastle United for signing of star

According to Versus, Wolverhampton Wanderers has entered the competition for CA Talleres’ Ramón Sosa, among clubs like Newcastle United.

The president of Talleres, Andrés Fassi, stated earlier this month that the winger will “certainly” depart in the summer window and that his transfer will require $20 million [£15.7 million].Newcastle has already expressed interest in the 24-year-old, and Wolves is expected to challenge them for his services.

Journalist Cristian Martin revealed this information to Versus, stating that Wolves will “get into the fight” to get Sosa’s services.

On Friday, Sosa’s agent Daniel Campos confirmed that his client dreams of playing in the Premier League, where Chelsea have asked about him. He also stated the player isn’t a priority for the Blues.

According to Martin, Gary O’Neil’s side are ‘one of the possibilities’ for the Paraguay international in the Premier League. In this way, Wolves have entered the battle with the Magpies.

ABC journalist Uriel Iugt, relayed by RDN, says Eddie Howe’s side have sent their officials to watch Sosa. He also added Newcastle seem to have an advantage, if they are keen on securing the South American’s services in the next window.

“Newcastle United are following Sosa closely. Emissaries from the club were observing him in the last Talleres games. No small detail: Sosa shares a representative with Miguel Almirón,” he said.
