Following an outstanding stint with FC Cincinnati, more than twelve Championship clubs are keeping an eye on Wolves center-back Yerson Mosquera.
Over a dozen Championship teams are interested in signing Wolves defender Yerson Mosquera during the January transfer window.
Mosquera was going to need to play on loan somewhere, and at the beginning of this year, a loan switch to FC Cincinnati was arranged due to Wolves’ management change and new center-back arrivals.
And it turned out to be a great move for the player, who played a pivotal role in the MLS team’s victory in the Supporters’ Shield. Mosquera was also considered for the Defender of the Year award.
In addition, he was called up to the Colombian national team due to his performance, and he made his debut there earlier this year.
Mosquera received praise and a call-up to the Colombian national team during his productive loan stint at FC Cincinnati in the Major League Soccer.
Although Wolves don’t intend to send Mosquera back to the United States, Wolves might loan him out to a Championship team once more so he can get more English football experience.
Yerson Mosquera, a defender for Wolverhampton Wanderers, is being pursued by over a dozen Championship teams in the January transfer window.
The career of Yerson Mosquera thus far
The 22-year-old left Colombian team Atletico Nacional to join Wolves in the summer of 2021, but he has had difficulty getting playing time at Molineux.
In a League Cup match against Tottenham, Mosquera made his team debut; however, he was replaced due to a severe hamstring strain.
