Gary O’Neil and many of his players have jetted off on holiday after a long season, which culminated in a 14th-placed finish in the Premier League.
It was a decent campaign overall, with many people tipping Wolves to really struggle at the start of the campaign. In the end, Wolves achieved what they set out to do, which was stay in the Premier League.
That said, there is frustration for some with the way Wolves finished the season.
O’Neil is hoping for a big summer, having dropped a few messages publicly over the last few months.

There have been a number of reports over the last few months about Wolves having interest in goalkeepers.
There have been rumors that certain Wolves coaches are uneasy with Jose Sa’s distribution and ball-playing skills. However, the Portuguese goalie had a strong season finale, so O’Neil might choose to prioritize other positions first.
But Valles might be available if he needs a new goalie. In April, rumors circulated that Wolves had reached out to his agents and were considering extending an offer.
A possible transfer of Valles was hinted at by Las Palmas president Miguel Ángel Ramírez on Tuesday lunchtime, as the player only has one year left on his contract and will not be signing a new one.
Through the official Las Palmas X account, he stated: “We could have sold Álvaro Valles in January, but we decided that the team was more important.”
“He just has one season left. His representative refused to renew him when UD wanted to. Indeed, since there isn’t now an offer, we will need to hunt for another one if there isn’t one. Although the market is lengthy, we will undoubtedly work to ensure that any offer benefits both the youngster and UD Las Palmas.
With the exception of one La Liga encounter in 2023–24, Valles played for Las Palmas while serving a one-game suspension against Barcelona. He maintained nine spotless sheets.
