Wolves set to unveil first signing of the summer

Rodrigo Gomes has flown into England to become Wolves’ first signing of the summer.

The twenty-year-old Portuguese under-21 international was at Compton yesterday for a medical before he finalised his £12.7 million move from Braga.

Wolves acted quickly to complete the Gomes deal, beating off Atletico Madrid of Spain to secure the young player’s signature.

Gomes was being followed by many German teams, as well as Wolves’ Premier League rivals Bournemouth.
