Wolves sporting director has been charged .

The Football Association has filed misconduct charges against Matt Hobbs, the sports director of Wolves.

The incident that took place following the Midlands club’s 2-2 draw with Newcastle United on October 28 is the subject of the accusation.

“It’s alleged that his language towards a match official in the tunnel after the final whistle was improper and/or abusive and/or insulting,” the Football Association stated.

Hobbs has until Monday, November 6th, to address the accusation.

Callum Wilson, a striker for the Magpies, scored from the penalty spot to give his team a 2-1 lead after Hwang Hee-chan was controversially given a controversial penalty kick for fouling Fabian Schar in the draw at Molineux.

Jarred Gillett served as the game’s video assistant referee, alongside Anthony Taylor as the official referee.

Following the game, Wolves manager Gary O’Neil stated, “I thought it was a terrible on-field decision and I thought it was unbelievably surprising that it wasn’t overturned.”

Even more disheartening. I’ll quit talking to the officials since I think it’s a waste of time.

“Until they improve the level of what they produce, I have no time for them.”
