Police have released the official name of the man who passed away at the scene of a crash in Worksop.
Around 11:50 a.m., David Chivers, 72, of Worksop, tragically passed away after being hit by a car at the Priorswell Road parking lot entrance.
To find out the complete circumstances of the incident, investigations are still underway.
The car’s driver stayed behind and is helping the police with their investigation.
“We are thinking about the victim’s family, friends, and the community at this time. This was a tragic and distressing incident,” said Detective Constable Emma Temple of Nottinghamshire Police’s serious collision investigation unit.
“I would urge any drivers who may have captured dashcam footage that could be useful to our investigation, or anyone who witnessed the collision but hasn’t come forward yet, to get in contact with us.”
