Worksop: Murder charge after woman found dead

A man has been charged with murder after a woman was found dead at a house.

Mckyla Taylor, 27, was discovered at an address in Lowtown Street, Worksop, Nottinghamshire, shortly after 02:00 BST on Tuesday, Nottinghamshire Police said.

He was due to appear at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on Friday.

Det Insp Kaz Smithson said: “Our thoughts at this time remain with Mckyla’s family, who are being supported by specially-trained officers.”

Ms. Taylor’s family described her as “a beautiful and caring daughter, mummy, sister, auntie, granddaughter, and cousin” in a statement issued through the police.
“We’re just truly broken that our darling Mckyla has been taken from us in the worst possible way and we will never get to see her beautiful face and smile again,” they stated.
