Erik Pieters confirms Hawthorns’ departure with a four-word message*

After Caleb Taylor went on loan from West Brom to Bolton Wanderers, Erik Pieters posted a four-word statement on social media.

The 21-year-old has switched to the League One team till the end of the season, the Baggies stated on their website on Thursday, February 1.

On Thursday, the English centre defender shared a picture of himself wearing a Trotters shirt on Instagram. Pieters, the left back, replied, “All the best partner.”

Taylor made a wise decision by moving to Bolton, where he should be able to get some consistent playing time after finding his opportunities at West Brom to be limited.

The Hawthorns defender is a reasonably highly-regarded player, and judging by the fact that several teammates have wished him well, he’s also quite well-liked by the rest of the team.

Having made just six appearances this season, he would have hoped to be more engaged after a successful loan spell in the third division with Cheltenham Town last season.

He will get some respectable experience at a squad that is presently dominating League One as they aim to advance this season thanks to his move to the second-place Trotters.

Undoubtedly, Carlos Corberan will be closely monitoring his development in order to determine whether or not he can contribute to his team before the upcoming season.

In unrelated West Brom news, Roy Keane publicly criticised a senior player for his actions against Wolves.
