West Brom plans to layoff two players in January.

Carlos Corberan already has a strategy in place to deal with the absence of both important players for the event, which takes place from January 14 to February 11, according to a report published by the news source on November 15.

Caleb Taylor will probably fill in for Ajayi, which will put Albion’s depth in jeopardy. Diangana, on the other hand, may not have an easy answer given that both players would probably miss five games if their teams win.

Planning was made simpler for the club since they would have known that they may lose both players for a long amount of time in the new year. If neither Nigeria nor the Democratic Republic of the Congo make an impression in the tournament, that burden might be alleviated.

When both players may be out, Albion’s schedule includes games against Blackburn, Norwich, Plymouth, Birmingham, and Ipswich. This could be awkward, especially if their injury problems don’t get better.

While both John Swift and Jeremy Sarmiento are anticipated to return shortly, Diangana in particular has stepped up in the absence of several other key players in recent weeks. However, the Baggies might be caught off guard due to repeated injuries during this time.

In the most recent indication that they are in the running to be called up to the official teams when AFCON kicks off in January, both players are presently serving on international duty for their respective nations.

Corberan and his team will find themselves in a difficult scenario, but as they have previously made arrangements, they will be able to take advantage of the bad circumstances.

In other West Brom news, there may be a reunion planned for one loanee.
