With the January transfer window just days away, Wrexham could be looking to pick up a bargain.

After a pleasing start to their first League Two campaign since 2008, Wrexham are in the promotion mix and will be looking to make it two consecutive promotions.
It’s well-documented that Wrexham have a financial pulling power that other clubs at League Two level can’t match, thanks to their Hollywood owners, Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds.
Wrexham’s finances have seen the club able to recruit the likes of Ben Foster whilst in the National League and the Red Dragons also signed the likes of Republic of Ireland winger James McClean earlier this season.
These are signings that a normal fourth tier side are unable to compete with and the club’s Hollywood owners will be hoping for promotion after forking out on ex-Premier League players.
With January just days away, the club will be looking to strengthen their squad and could turn to players who are out of contract next year in a bid to recruit them on a cut-price deal.

Jordon Garrick
The Forest Green Rovers man is yet to play this season due to injury, but could still be a good signing for Wrexham with the rest of the season in mind.
Garrick is a pacy winger, who’s probably capable of playing at a higher level of football than League Two, so would be a good addition if Wrexham were to get promoted.

The 25-year-old began his senior career with Swansea, where he made 19 appearances, registering three goals and three assists, before having loan spells at Swindon, Plymouth and Lincoln.
He joined Forest Green Rovers in January 2023 whilst a League One club and scored five times during the second half of the 2022/23 season before suffering an injury which has ruled him out since. He’s out of contract in Gloucestershire next summer.
Courtney Baker-Richardson
Crewe Alexandra striker Courtney Baker-Richardson has been in decent goalscoring form in League Two this season, and has actually scored more goals than all of Wrexham’s current striker options.
Wrexham have depth at striker but with the likes of Steven Fletcher now 36, Baker-Richardson could be a long-term option for the Red Dragons.
At 28, the Crewe man has experience of playing in the Championship, League One and League Two, so could be a decent option for Wrexham as they look to move through the leagues.
Andy King
35-year-old midfielder King is finding game time hard to come by at Bristol City, and with his contract expiring next summer, he could be a good signing for Wrexham.
The Welshman has 50 caps for his country and his age won’t put Wrexham off, with the club signing the likes of Ben Foster, Steven Fletcher and James McClean in recent times.
A Premier League winner with Leicester City, King has a wealth of experience and may relish the chance to help steer Wrexham into League One.
Fankaty Dabo
Forest Green Rovers right-back Dabo signed a one-year-deal with the club last summer, meaning he’s out of contract next summer.
There’s no doubt that Dabo can play at a higher level than League Two. As recently as May, he was playing for Coventry City in the Championship play-off final, where he missed the decisive penalty in the shoot-out which meant the Sky Blues lost the game.
He was released by Coventry that summer and found himself dropping to League Two level to play in a struggling Forest Green side.
The 28-year-old could provide good competition for the full-backs currently at the Racecourse.
Zac Williams
19-year-old Crewe centre-back Williams has been in impressive form for the club this season and could be someone who attracts the interest of Wrexham.
The Welshman, who hails from Rhyl in North Wales, has been a regular in the side at Gresty Road, only missing a spell of games through injury.
As a young, local lad playing regular first-team football at League Two level, he’s the type of player Wrexham should be targeting as they build for the future.
