Burton Albion have appointed first-team coach Gary Mills as the caretaker boss following the departure of Dino Maamria on Sunday night, as confirmed by a statement on the club’s official website.

It’s obvious that Mills is a well-liked coach, and Robinson has confidence in him to help right the ship. The Brewers’ season has so far been divided into three parts: they went seven games without winning, then went seven games without losing, and now they have lost their last six games.
The newly appointed interim head coach, who wants to lead his team to victory this weekend away at Kassam Stadium, will be praying that it does not become a story of three seven-game stints.
