Teenager charged with murder in Yeovil

Today, following a series of violent incidents in Yeovil, a man, 27, and a boy, 14, are scheduled to appear in court.

On Thursday, June 13, between 6.30 and 8 a.m., five males were attacked.

While some victims were beaten and stabbed, one victim was struck in the head with a metal bar.

After being admitted to the hospital, four of the men were soon released.

Following the assaults, Jamie Gosney, 27, of no fixed home, and a 14-year-old boy were taken into custody by Avon and Somerset Police.
Three counts of GBH with purpose, one offence of carrying a knife in public, and one count of assault with intent to rob were brought against each individual.

Gosney is additionally accused with carrying an offensive weapon in public.

While they wait for their court appearance at Yeovil Magistrates Court, both remain under police custody.

Anybody who was in the vicinity and might have seen anything or had information on the incidents is being urged to contact the officers.
