Following the death of a man in Yeovil, two men are scheduled to appear in court today, Monday, July 15, on murder-related charges.
On Sunday, July 14 2024, at around 7:00 p.m., officers were called to apartments in Raglan Terrace. Sadly, Franklin Ingram, 68, of Raglan Terrace, was officially recognised as the man who was declared dead at the scene.
Taunton Magistrates’ Court is where Martin Gerald Carty, 56, of Raglan Terrace, and Mark Robert Sothcott, 55, of Stiby Road, Yeovil, are scheduled to appear.
After being detained on suspicion of helping an offender, a third guy, who was also in his 50s, and a lady, who was in her 40s, were freed while an investigation was ongoing.
Detective Chief Inspector Mark Almond of the Major Crime Investigation Team stated: “We are sending our condolences to Franklin’s family, who is receiving support from family liaison officers with specialised training.”
“Our inquiry is ongoing even though the Crown Prosecution Service has approved these charges. Anyone with information who has not yet spoken with officers is still welcome to contact us.
