Before Saturday’s match against Leyton Orient at Brisbane Road, Reading manager Ruben Selles emphasized that his team has the potential to pick up three points on the road.
This season’s Royals have had a rough start to their league campaign, which was made worse by the point reduction they experienced.
This season, Selles’ team has yet to win on the road in League One, and they are currently occupying the 20th spot in the rankings.
Reading’s manager said his team knows how to win on the road and cited their good away performances at Millwall and Exeter City in the EFL Cup and EFL Trophy, respectively.
Selles told Reading’s internal media, “I want to reload and go again, and try to make the very best of that game, and try to be competitive to earn the first three points away from home.”
I’m not looking back at last season because I find it pointless, but I am aware that we defeated Millwall 4-0 in the cup and Exeter 9-0 on the road, showing that we have put on some strong away performances.
“It’s not that we lack the knowledge to execute it.
The findings have not been distributed.
“I believe we can learn from some of our league away performances, but we were unsuccessful in getting the desired outcome.”
Reading will be seeking points at Brisbane Road in an effort to move up the standings as they are anxious to avoid the relegation zone for a second straight season.
