Swansea City manager commends former striker’s demeanor in transfer to Plymouth Argyle.

Whittaker spent a successful loan season with Plymouth Argyle after his first attempt at first-team play under former Swansea manager Russell Martin was unsuccessful.

The 22-year-old has participated in every game for the Pilgrims this season. On Saturday, they will host Swansea.

Whittaker was “honest” about wanting to quit the club, according to Duff.

The striker’s reaction to the situation, despite the fact that it meant losing him, was praised by the current Swansea head coach.

“I had a meeting with the players on my very first morning at the football club, introduced myself and the staff, the usual, standard, welcome-day meeting,” stated Duff.

Then Morgan walked up to my office and tapped on my door, saying, “I want to leave.

He said, “It’s nothing to do with you,” instead of kicking off. He made it very apparent that he didn’t want to be here, and while I don’t know what had happened earlier and it’s none of my business, there are some things I do now know that I’m not ready to discuss.

“He’s moved on, we wish him all the best, apart from Saturday.”

Swansea’s improvement is largely due to the character of the squad;

nonetheless, there is still work to be done.

Whittaker had bids from Scottish powerhouse Rangers rejected last season, and he had requested not to play in a match against Queens Park Rangers because he wasn’t in the appropriate state of mind.

It takes place in football. At the football club, things simply don’t work out sometimes, according to Duff.

“Things had happened before me that essentially meant he didn’t want to be at the football club anymore, but he’s a boy of good ability, people would’ve seen that,” the narrator said.

He appears to have settled in Plymouth; whether this was happening in the background is unknown to me; yet, he handled the situation well.

He didn’t demand to be placed on the transfer list, refuse to train, or do anything similar.

“He had an honest conversation with me, told me where he is at, and then the clubr game upon their return to the Championship, he came off the bench.

He has four goals, including a hat-trick in a 6-2 victory over Norwich City in September.
