After thumping PSG 4-1 in the Champions League in midweek, the good news just kept rolling in for the Newcastle United fans.
This time it was their star midfielder, Bruno Guimaraes, signing a new five-year contract, with his wife, Ane Guimaraes, telling him on Instagram ‘you deserve it’.
Albeit fans would have shut it down, there were a few whispers that Real Madrid were keen to bring him in.
But any worries have now been put to bed because, as Newcastle continue their Champions League adventure, one of their key players is now set to stay for the long term.

Going to the next level
This is where the pressure is on and this is where fans, both from the inside and the outside, will now start to expect more.
The next step for the Magpies is to maintain Champions League football and to put a trophy in their cabinet.
There is a huge belief that the latter will happen sooner rather than later, and if it does, then you can bet your bottom dollar that Guimaraes will play a huge part.
