Police have revealed that a corpse has been discovered during the hunt for a Hampshire lady who went missing. The last time Hannah Leigh, 57, was spotted was on Wednesday, April 20 in Totton.
Around 2:30 pm, the 57-year-old was last observed in the vicinity on Junction Road. Assuming she was in the Southampton region, Hampshire Constabulary issued a missing persons appeal on Thursday, April 21.
On Friday, April 22, Hampshire Constabulary said that a corpse had been discovered as a result of the search. The next of kin of Hannah have been notified.
A police spokeswoman posted the following on the Totton Police Facebook page: “We wanted to bring you an update, as officers searching for Totton resident Hannah Leigh, who has been missing, have discovered a corpse. Her next of kin have been notified, but formal identification has not yet occurred. As always, we sincerely appreciate your assistance in spreading the word about our request.”
