Sources: Everton ready Jarrad Branthwaite offer after Man United swoop

According to information cited by Football Insider, Jarrad Branthwaite will receive a new contract from Everton.

The 21-year-old just made his debut for the team and has established a solid defensive connection with James Tarkowski for the Toffees.

Branthwaite has been a revelation for cash-strapped Everton following his experience-building loan at PSV Eindhoven in the 2022-23 campaign.

PSV were keen to sign him in the summer window after his successful spell, but a deal could not be struck with Everton – who wanted to keep him at Goodison Park.

But Branthwaite is out of contract in June 2025, prompting Everton to ready talks over a renewed deal.

He earns a reported wage of £15,000-a-week on his current contract.

The 6ft 5in defender has started each of the last four Premier League games for Everton and impressed as Sean Dyche’s side picked up their first league win against Brentford last week (23 September).

He also started as the Toffees beat Aston Villa 2-1 in the League Cup on Wednesday (27 September).

Branthwaite, who is a product of the Carlisle United academy, played his first full season of senior football for PSV last term.

He notched four goals and two assists across 37 appearances as they won the Dutch Cup.

Everton are next in action against struggling Luton Town on Saturday (30 September).

The Toffees have picked up four points from a possible 18 in the Premier League so far this term.
