Sources: Everton three-man January signing plan revealed

Everton boss Sean Dyche has identified three key areas for improvement in the January transfer window, sources have told Football Insider.

Football Insider revealed on Friday (29 September) that Dyche could be given a decent transfer budget for the January window if the Toffees’ takeover clears.

US investment firm 777 Partners have agreed a buyout of the Merseysiders, but the deal requires approval from several key groups before completion.

However, Dyche has prepared plans for the January window in anticipation of good news because Everton needs to strengthen its playing staff.

The Toffees manager is reportedly eager to bring in a goal-scoring winger and strengthen the full-back positions at Goodison Park.signing of a free agent Ashley Young, 38, has played both left-back and right-back in each of the six Premier League games he has started this season.

Everton also have right-sided star Nathan Patterson and left-back Vitaliy Mykolenko to call on in the full-back roles.

A winger is also wanted after the Toffees lost Alex Iwobi and Demerai Gray in the summer window.

Dyche has recently been buoyed by the return of summer signing Jack Harrison in the League Cup win over Aston Villa but remains short in wide areas following the key exits.

Arnaut Danjuma also arrived on loan from Villarreal in the off-season and has managed two goals in eight games for the Toffees this season.

Everton picked up their first Premier League win of the season against Brentford last week (23 September) and also advanced to the League Cup third round in midweek (27 September).

The Toffees are next in action against struggling Luton Town on Saturday (30 September).
