York Knights have announced the double loan signing of Davy Litten and Franklin Pele from Betfred Super League side Hull FC.
Both players are qualified to play in Sunday’s Betfred Championship matchup against the Halifax Panthers.
Complete-back In August 2022, Litten made his Super League debut for Hull. He has since appeared in 23 games for the Black and Whites, collecting three tries.
After scoring three tries in 16 starts, the 21-year-old was named Hull’s Young Player of the Year the previous season.
Pele played six games for the Sydney club in 2023 before leaving to join Hull in the off-season from Canterbury Bulldogs, an NRL team.
The former prop forward for the Cronulla Sharks has made eight appearances for FC and scored one try.
Andrew Henderson, head coach of the York Knights, stated: “I’m incredibly happy to bring both Davy and Franklin to the Club ahead of this
“We’re grateful to have Franklin join our team because he’s the kind of middle-unit player we’ve been searching for and someone who can make a difference for us.
“I’m extremely excited to see what he brings because he will offer us some genuine go-forward through the middle and some punch.
“Davy is a full-back or winger, and we believed it was the correct decision to introduce someone in that position given the suspension of Will Dagger and the injury to Myles Harrison.
“Davy is a bright young talent with exposure in the Betfred Super League as well as previous experience at this level when on loan at Whitehaven. We’re quite interested to see what he can do for the squad this week.
“I believe that Davy and Franklin, two excellent players, will significantly improve our team.
“I’d like to thank Richie Myler at Hull FC for helping make these moves, as well as our Chairman Clint Goodchild for his support in bringing in these new recruits.”
