Nottingham Forest to Received Brilliant Midfielder reveals..

Current Nottingham Forest transfer rumours as Real Betis player Guido Rodriguez, linked to the Reds, talks about his circumstances.

Guido Rodriguez, a midfielder linked to Nottingham Forest, has acknowledged that he was on the verge of leaving Real Betis during the summer.

During the transfer window, the Argentine was reportedly being eyed by the Reds. Then, according to reports published last month, they might rekindle their interest in January.

Rodriguez’s contract with Betis is coming to an end this year. While discussions about a new contract have taken place, it is rumoured that he refused to leave the club because his wife is expecting.

The midfielder reportedly “rejected proposals” from teams in the summer, including Forest and Lyon, according to the Spanish publication Estadio Deportivo. Additionally, they contain remarks from the man himself that he gave while describing his circumstances on the La Capitana podcast.

The wife of Betis midfielder Andres Guardado, podcast host Sandra de la Vega, questioned Rodriguez about his length of stay at the team. “But you signed, didn’t you?” she asked Rodriguez after her husband stated that it was a topic they couldn’t talk about.

“No, his contract expires this year,” he replied. Given how mixed the transfer market was, I was going to depart. However, my contract expires at the end of this tournament, so I still have this year left on it. Still, we’ll see what happens while we’re there.

“Life is good here, we get along well as a team, and we have a nice bunch here. We will welcome a Sevillian into our family by the end of February or the beginning of March, I believe.

The 29-year-old’s contract negotiations are reportedly proceeding at a “slow but firm pace,” according to Estadio Deportivo. A release provision might be incorporated, according to earlier rumours, which would intrigue players like Forest.

The Reds prioritised fortifying their centre of the pitch during the off season. They have a lot of alternatives now that head coach Steve Cooper has them well-stocked in that area.

Ibrahim Sangare, the club record acquisition, is still getting used to life in the Premier League, while Nicolas Dominguez made an immediate impression. Orel Mangala and Ryan Yates have clicked nicely together in recent games, but Ryan Yates will be keen to reclaim a starting position, and Forest still has Danilo to return from injury.
