Manager inadvertently reveals Sheffield United’s transfer target:

Cardiff City manager Erol Bulut has unexpectedly claimed that Sheffield United have presented an offer to acquire Ryan Kent during this transfer window. Despite previous links to Bramall Lane, Kent opted for a move to Fenerbahce after departing Rangers last summer.

Chris Wilder’s efforts to bolster Sheffield United have renewed speculation about Ryan Kent, with the Cardiff manager suggesting a potential connection. Bulut expressed interest in signing Kent for Cardiff but acknowledged the existing offer from the Blades, in his latest press conference, via Wales Online.

Bulut explained: “I think and I know he also has other offers, from Premier League Sheffield United. So we don’t need to continue to speak. We cannot do it when a Premier League club is after him.”

Despite a challenging spell in Turkey, Kent’s potential remains promising, considering his significant impact at Rangers, where he secured a permanent deal for £7.5m and contributed to a European final. Acquiring Kent, albeit on loan or more affordable permanent terms, could be beneficial for reinforcing the struggling Sheffield United team.

There have been several rumours over the years linking the Liverpool academy product with the Blades. Perhaps this time, given that a manager has inadvertently linked the player with United, there could be truth to it.
